Residents noticed a stray dog had become stuck to the asphalt after it had melted on a road and become sticky like glue.

They quickly notified firefighters and the animal shelter in Piotrkow Trybunalski to come and rescue the dog.Composite Start -->
According to a local newspaper, the road’s poor condition was attributed to a combination of the summer heat and the terrible quality of the asphalt and materials used by road workers to patch up the street.Composite Start -->
The rescue operation went on for quite some time because it was difficult to free the dog from the tar-like surface, but eventually they managed to save her.Composite Start -->
She was in serious condition but alive! They named her “Smółka” and took her to the animal shelter to be looked after.
